No Meeting this weekend!

Did you know there are only 242 days until the Jamboree!
There won’t be a troop meeting this weekend, as we had originally planned.  There has been no new information from BSA, and most are still catching up and trying to get things on track from the storm.  At this time, we will plan to re-group the troop in January, when we expect there to be more information coming out from the Jamboree organizers.  If significant information is made available, we will plan a meeting sooner.
Everyone is encouraged to check in on the Jamboree website for information updates.  One of the places I like to visit it the Summit Blog site where information is posted.  As always, please let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome to Troop 403

Hello and thank you for visiting the home of Northern New Jersey Council’s Troop 403.  This troop will be attending the 2013 National Jamboree.  We are looking forward to the next 9 months of preparations for this once in a lifetime event.  For our preparation, we will be meeting about once a month.  The purpose of these meetings is to bring the troop together regularly.  Our earlier meetings will be focused on the scouts getting to know each other.   Before long, we will start to form patrols and elect youth leaders.

In addition to the youth development, the parents of our troop will also be asked to form a Troop Committee.  The purpose of this committee will be to provide support such as fundraising and unit development.

Please feel free to contact Scoutmaster Rob Dente at 201-679-8217 or if you have any questions about the troop.
